Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Porsche Cayenne Towing Trailer w 750 lb Tongue Weight
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I will be towing a 20foot ATC trailer that is about 3750lbs with a Porsche Cayenne diesel. I estimate the tongue weight to be about 750lbs. Fully loaded, my trailer should be just over 7000lbs which is just about 10 less than the max capacity of the Cayenne. Can you recommend a WD/Sway hitch for my setup? Thanks for any feedback.

I certainly can recommend you a weight distribution system. Thank you for giving me all the weight information for your trailer as that makes it very easy to pick out the correct system.
The Reese Strait Line System part # RP66084 would be the system I would recommend. It has a tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs which would work great with your tongue weight and it features the only sway control on the market that works to prevent sway before it starts.
One other thing to consider is that any weight from cargo behind the rear axle of your vehicle needs to be considered as tongue weight too. The # RP66084 has a bit off room for additional tongue weight for you so it should still work great.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
