Procedure for Removing Weight Distribution Spring Bars When Unhitching Trailer
Question:
Hi i have unhitched my trailer and now I cant get the round bars to release from my hitch. What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you are having trouble removing your weight distribution spring bars from their lift brackets on the trailer frame. When its time to unhitch the trailer and truck what you want to do is use your trailer tongue jack to lift the trailer tongue (and the rear of the truck along with it) to take the tension off the bars. You can then disengage the bars. Then lower the jack and uncouple the trailer.

When my camper is hitched up to my truck and the tongue Jack is completely lifted up I can still remove my weight distribution bars do I need to remove my L brackets upwards
