Best 2016 Nissan Rogue Hitch Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2016 Nissan Rogue. Our number one hitch is going to be the Curt Class III, this is part number C13204, following that up is going to be our DrawTite Class III, part number 75902. Our Hidden Hitch Class III, part number 87663. Going to keep in mind that this is an exact copy of the DrawTite. Hidden Hitch and DrawTite are going to be twins. We're going to have our DrawTite Class II, part number here is 36542. There's not going to be a whole lot of cosmetic differences between the hitches that we've got.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Nissan Rogue - Curt

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver, offering the 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" opening. This part number is C12122. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, we're going to have a hidden cross tube, so we don't have a big, wide hitch here in the back of the vehicle. All we're really adding visually is going to be the receiver tube opening itself and our safety chain connection points. Overall, not changing the look of the vehicle too much. We've got safety chain connection points here, these are made out of a rolled style steel. Plenty of room in there for making our connections.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Nissan Rogue - Hidden Hitch

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Hidden Hitch class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver. This offers the 2" by 2" opening. Its part number is HH87663. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. As you can see, we're not adding a whole lot here. Cosmetically, you're not making a huge change to the vehicle.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Nissan Rogue - Curt

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class III trailer hitch receiver. This offers the two inch by two inch opening. This part number is C13204. All right here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see a real clean look. Our main cross tubes hidden behind our rear fascia there so we won't have to see a big obnoxious hitch sitting all the way across. Just mainly going to have your receiver tube here, gives us the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and then we've got our safety chain connection points down there that we can see.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Nissan Rogue - Hidden Hitch

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Hidden Hitch Custom Fit Class II trailer hitch receiver. This offers the 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" opening. Part number is 90236. Here's what the hitch is going to look like when installed on the Rogue. It's a really nice, simple look. Your cross tube's hidden behind the rear fascia, so you don't have to worry about seeing a hitch all the way across.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Nissan Rogue - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. This is a custom fit class three trailer hitch receiver offering a 2" by 2" opening. Its part number is 75902. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. Mainly, you're just going to see your receiver tube opening here and safety chain connection points. We've got the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue - Curt

Today on this 2014 Nisan Rogue, we're going to show you the Curt Class III 2" Receiver Hitch, part number C13204. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Rogue. On first glance, all you can see is the receiver tube from beneath the bumper coming out to the edge of the bumper right here. If we look on the outside it has a reinforcement around the edge. For safety chains it has a loop style hook up here, this uses a 5/8" hitch pin or your favorite locking pin. This reach goes almost all the way back towards the exhaust, which clears it by at least a few inches, then the arms go out from underneath and up into the frame.

Best 2015 Nissan Rogue Hitch Options

Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue Select we're going to be looking at the Hidden Hitch class three, part number 87663; the Draw-Tite class three, part number 75902; the CURT class two, part number 36542; and the CURT class three, part number C13204. Now at first glance, all of our Nissan hitches that we have here are going to look the same. We've got very subtle differences in the hitches that we're going to point out to you to really help out in deciding which one is going to work the best. Our Hidden Hitch and our Draw-Tite, they're essentially the same hitch. Something that they do have that you're not going to see with your CURTs is going to be the dual pin setup here on the side. What that does is the rear hole or the hole closest to the front of the vehicle takes a standard 5/8" pin just like your other class three CURT here, but they've got that second hole right there in the front. That's what really stands apart from the CURT.

  • Does the Rear Panel of a 2015 Nissan Rogue Have to Get Removed to Install Draw Tite Hitch 75902
  • Draw-Tite recommends the removal of the lower panel you referenced when installing the part # 75902, but if you found a way to trim the panel and have it reinstalled that is fine as well. We can't officially recommend that since it's not what Draw Tite recommends. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

  • You are correct, the Hidden Hitch trailer hitch # HH87663 and Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75902 do stick out further than the Curt trailer hitches for your 2014 Nissan Rogue. On both hitches, they stick out 2-1/4 inches further. Both hitches do have the same dimensions. From the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear bumper is approximately 5-3/4 inches. And on the Yakima RidgeBack 5, # Y02459, it measures 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the...

  • Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Recessed Too Far Under 2014 Nissan Rogue to Use Thule T2 Bike Rack
  • The issue is that if hitch manufactures extended the receiver more then you would have the same problem as you would when using a hitch extender. It would put too much stress on the hitch and could cause damage to the hitch or vehicle. Draw-Tite hitch # 75902 extends out a little further. Approximately 2-1/4 inches further than on the Curt hitch. And on the Curt hitch the hitch pin hole to rear bumper measurement is 8-1/4 inches. On the Draw-Tite hitch that measurement would be approximately...

  • How to Determine if a Bike Rack will Have Clearance 2014 Nissan Rogue with a Hidden Hitch
  • I spoke to my contact at Hidden Hitch and she gave me a way to figure out the dimension you are looking for. If you measure from the rearmost attach point on your frame for the hitch back 8-1/4 inches you will know where the hitch pin will be in relation to your rear bumper. We haven't had the chance to install this hitch on a vehicle yet so we have not had the chance to take the measurement you requested. Check out the picture I attached that shows this measurement.

  • 2 Inch Curt Hitch Recommendation for a 2014 Nissan Rogue
  • Curt recommends the use of the stabilizer strap like part # 18050 with all of their 1-1/4 in hitches and some of the 2 inch hitches, but not the 2 inch hitch available for your 2014 Nissan Rogue. The Curt Hitch part # C13204 that you referenced would be a great hitch for you since you would rather not use a stabilizer strap, and because a 2 inch hitch has more capacity and has more options for hitch accessories than a 1-1/4 inch hitch. This hitch should do very well carrying a 2 bike...

  • How to Determine Location of Hitch Pin Hole on Class III Hitches Installed on 2014 Nissan Rogue
  • I went to our warehouse and measured each of the three 2-inch Class III hitches that fit your 2014 Nissan Rogue to confirm which will provide the best clearance for a bike rack. What I did was measure from the center of one of the rear-most mounting holes on the hitches to the center of the hitch pin holes. I went this route since the hitch attachment points on the car's frame do not vary, but the actual position of the flexible plastic rear bumper cover could. Plastic bumper covers...

Some of those panels will need to be permanently removed in order to install the Curt Hitch part # C13204 that you referenced. Honestly though, you should not see any change in your fuel mileage. I attached an install video for this hitch. For trailer...

  • What is the Towing Capacity of a 2014 Nissan Rogue
  • I checked the owners manual online for the 2014 Nissan Rogue and found that it has an 1,100 pound towing capacity. However, it also says to check the capacity sticker in the driver side door jamb. I recommend checking both the manual and that sticker to determine the capacities of your specific model. If it does indeed top out at 1,100 pound you will not be able to tow the 2500 pound boat.

  • Hitch Extender to Use a Bike Rack With a 2014 Nissan Rogue and Curt Class III Trailer Hitch
  • The use of an extender is going to reduce the trailer hitch tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. The combined weight of the bike rack and bikes cannot exceed 175 pounds. • Trailer hitch manufacturers will rate the capacity of the hitches they make and those capacities will be for just the hitch. The Draw Tite # 75902 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Nissan Rogue and would have more capacity that you would need. Basically when determining the overall capacity of a towing setup you have to go with the lowest rated component in the setup as the overall capacity. In your case it would be the vehicle at 1,000 lbs. If you wanted to do some towing you might...
