please assist me in determining which BW kit is correct for my 2010 mega cab 2500. it has the six foot bed.

I'd be happy to help you with that. The B&W Gooseneck Hitch you referenced, part # BWGNRK1313 does fit a 2010 Ram 2500, but it is NOT compatible with the Mega Cab model.
You'll want to use the # BWGNRK1308 which IS compatible with Mega Cab models, regardless whether they have Gas or Diesel engines. If you don't have a trailer connector installed in your truck bed, you can install one using part # 41157.
