Country of Manufacture and Speed Rating of Tire Used on # AM3S440 Wheel/Tire Combo

Question:

Can you tell me where the tire is manufactured? I'd rather not have a Chinese tire. Also, whats the speed rating? Thank you.

The Kenda/Loadstar tires are manufactured in either Taiwan or mainland China. You'd be hard pressed to find a trailer tire that's manufactured in the US these days. The tires still meet stringent DOT specifications, just like a tire manufactured here would. If you look at the product reviews for the, you can see that the # AM3S440 wheel/tire combo is very highly rated by our customers.

The overwhelming majority of trailer tires are rated for a maximum speed of 65 mph. Exceeding this speed rating on a consistent basis will cause heat to build up in the tire. Excessive heat is the number one cause of premature tire wear and failure.
