Question:
I need to replace the 7-way trailer wiring harness for 2006 Tundra, double cab, that came with a factory installed tow package. Should I buy: Code: HM43385 or Code: 20137 ?

There is a difference between the Tow Ready # 20137 and the Hopkins # HM43385. Each trailer connector uses two plugs that insert into the factory connections, but the 3 pin plug on each is wired DIFFERENTLY. For some unknown reason, Toyota wired the plugs differently on some vehicles. If you look at the photo I've edited for you, you can see the difference.
The replacement 7-way you use will depend on how your 3-pin plug on your Tundra is wired. Use a circuit tester like # 40376, and holding the socket on the vehicle so that the retaining clip is at the bottom, use the tester on the right hand pin. If you get power on that pin (you might need to turn on the ignition), use the # HM43385. If you get power on the left hand pin, use the Tow Ready # 20137.
