Question:
I am looking for a trailer plug in at the bumper. Its for a 2014 GMC 1500 sierra. It has the wireing to the bumper and a female connector with a cover. What it looks like I need is a plug in adapter. I think its PK11916. Is that right and will it fit the unit from GMC? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
If you need a replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector because your factory connector is damaged or not working, then the Pollak Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, # PK11916, which you reference, will work well for you. This twist-in connector serves as a replacement for OEM sockets on 2014 GMC Sierras that came with factory tow packages.
I have included a link to a video of this part being installed on a 2012 GMC Sierra. The model year of the truck is different but the installation is similar.
If you need an adapter that will adapt your 7 way connector to a 4 way, you will want the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter # PK12716.
I have included a video review of this adapter for you to check out.
