5th Wheel Trailer hitch Install Kit for RBW LR-1000 and 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:
I have an RBW model LR-1000 LR-1001 crossbar and LR-1010 bracket assy 5th wheel hitch that I used in a 1999 Silverado 1500 2WD, that I would now like to use in a 2014 Silverado 1500 4WD which has a dealer installed bed-liner. Are this hitch and the 2014 Silverado compatible? If so, can you recommend what mounting rails to use since the original rails are not available for re-use?

I would like to help you but you need to know that RBW was bought out some time ago by Hayes/ALKO and they no longer produce any of the RBW parts. This means there are no installation kits that will fit your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500.
But if your RBW LR is in fact the Lil Rocker that fits in industry standard rails then not to worry. The Lil Rocker is the one RBW hitch that will fit the rails that most other hitches will fit.
You can use either universal installation kit # RP30035 or custom fit installation kit # RP50064-58 for your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. The difference is that the custom kit requires less drilling and installs in less time than the universal kit.
The rails in these kits have slots for the hitch feet spaced 10, 20-1/2, and 29 inches apart on center side to side. And the centers of the rails are spaced 22 inches apart on center once installed. If the mounting feet on your hitch are space 10, 20-1/2, or 29 inches apart side to side and 22 inches apart front to back you can use either of these kits.
