Question:

Why wont the airlift 5000 fit on trucks with 5th wheel hitches. The reason people want the airlift is to level the suspension while pulling a 5th wheel camper.

In some instances, the install brackets that connect the fifth wheel bed rails to the truck frame will occupy the same space needed to install the air suspension. Folks with slide-in campers and people that routinely haul lots of weight in their truck beds might need the suspension enhancement even though they don't tow a gooseneck or fifth wheel.

This being said, there are options for air springs that are compatible with a fifth wheel hitch. If your truck has a GVWR over 8500 lbs, the Firestone # F2550 would work for you, unless your truck is a SuperCab V10 model. If your fifth wheel hitch is installed using a universal bracket kit (with four small brackets attached to the frame rather than two large brackets) then the Air Lift # AL57390 would work for you.

If you could reply and tell me the manufacturer of your fifth wheel brackets and if they're custom or universal, I'd be happy to make some more specific recommendations.
