Hi Herman,

B&W doesn't make a spacer kit for a 2019 Ford F-350 because the B&W installation rails, like the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/Base Rails part # BWRVK2402, is specially designed to fit the Ford truck bed profile. Any necessary bracket spacing, frame brackets, or hardware required to prevent the truck bed from being damaged is included in the installation kit. The only stand-alone spacer kits are engineered for unique bed floor profiles like the Toyota Tundra because it has an atypical bed corrugation. Since you have a plastic liner, the liner will need to be cut/trimmed so that the rails make direct contact with the metal truck bed. Trying to install the rails over the plastic can cause it to compress and deteriorate over time which can make the bolts loosen up.

Are you using a custom installation brackets or universal rails?

I have the plastic bed liner also but was able to cut it out around the bed rails and any other spot that would cause clearance issues. It worked out great and avoided having to use spacers. It looks good too.

@Chris Sounds like trimming the bed liner was the way to go. Nice that you were able to skip the spacers and still get a clean look. Thanks for sharing!

Bought a used 5th wheel camper and the hitch came with it but not the rail as they are vehicle specific I had mine installed on a 2023F 250 7.3 gas engine, and it fit perfectly.

@James That's a nice deal that the hitch came with the camper! What 5th wheel hitch was it?

if you have a plastic loose liner you will have to cut it to fit the rails. The rails must be in contact with rhe bed. Lay the rails on the liner where they will be installed on the bed. The rear rail is 3 feet forwad of the rear of the bed, you can use the hitch frame to position the front rail relative to the back rail. mark around the rails on the bed liner, I used white paint and a fine artist paint brush. push a couple of pieces of 2x4 wood under the plastic bed and use a circular saw to cut the hole for the rear rail. Make sure the blade does not contact the bed. Move the wod forward and repeat for front rail. Install rails through holes in bed liner. No additiomal spacers needed.

@Malcolm You are 100% correct that the rails need to make contact with the metal truck bed. And that's a great tip for how you marked out where the liner needed to be cut! Thanks for sharing that with us!

@HermanJ Yes, the plastic liner will need to be cut or trimmed to install the fifth wheel. The rails need to make direct contact with the truck floor for the hitch to be secured properly.
