Question:
I recently purchased a new Grand Design 5th wheel momentum 394G. UVW = 16480 lbs, GVWR = 22,500 lbs. Camper loaded = CAT WEIGHT verified. PIN Weight 4200 lbs. GVWR = 18580 lbs. What rear wheel Air bag product do you recommend for a 2025 3500HD Duramax, standard bed, SRW ? I have a GENY gooseneck hitch.

Hey there Brad, congrats on the new RV. That's also a sick truck. I'm jealous.
I personally would stick with Firestone when it comes to air bag suspension kits. Airlift and Pacbrake are also amazing products, but we've had the best luck with Firestone with their stronger crimp-rolled bags.
There are two different kits I'd check out, depending on if you want in-cab manual adjustment with the controller, or wireless adjustment with a smartphone app. The smartphone route is simpler and less places for leaks and issues, but the in-cab controller and psi gauge is also a nice thing to have and be able to manually control. It really comes down to personal preference.
- Wireless controller and 5K lbs air bag kit # F64XV
- In-cab manual controller and 5K lbs air bag kit # F84XV
Both kits are completely custom-fit for your 2025 Silverado Duramax 3500 (fits 2wd and 4wd models). They are also both compatible with in-bed hitches, such as your gooseneck setup. So no worries there either! Even the compressor has a custom bracket to be fitted to your truck frame, so no drilling is required anywhere on your truck.
With your verified 4,200-lb pin weight, you’re well within the 5,000-lb load-leveling capacity of either kit. You also won’t need to run the bags at maximum pressure - you’ll just add enough air to bring the truck back to level and get the ride where you want it. For a fifth wheel this heavy, having that adjustability should make a noticeable difference in rear-end squat and overall towing comfort.
Let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else for this rig! I'm happy to help.
