Will BAK Revolver X4s Allow Use Of Weather Guard 664-52-01 Toolbox

Updated 10/10/2026 | Published 09/22/2026

Question:

I need the measurement between the rails once installed on a 2025 Ford F-350 8foot bed dually. Im also considering a Weather Guard 664-52-01 tool chest, with specs reading 62inch in length and want to make sure I can still open the tool box with this cover installed. Thanks!

Hi Bryan! Once the BAK Revolver X4s # BAK49ZR is installed on your 2025 Ford F-350 you'll have approximately 58-1/2" between the rails. You will need a shorter toolbox if you want to install it with the Revolver X4s.

What do you use your truck for?

Thanks, but I was asking about the BAK Revolver X4s, not the MX4. I also physically measured my 2025 F-350 and have 63.5" between the factory bed rails, so the stated 64" clearance after installation can't be correct. Could someone please measure the clear inside distance between the innermost points of the two installed Revolver X4s locking rails? I'm trying to determine the largest toolbox that will fit between the rails once the tonneau is installed.

@BryanS I apologize for the confusion. I mistakenly called the # BAK49ZR an MX4 in my original answer, but the 64" measurement was provided to me by BAK Industries for the Revolver X4s. Based on the 63.5" measurement you took, that clearly doesn't add up. Unfortunately, we don't have a 2025 F-350 and Revolver X4s available to install and physically measure, so we have to rely on the manufacturer for this information. I'll reach back out to BAK with your measurement and ask them to verify the clear inside distance between the locking rails.
