Question:
I have a 1984 Bass tracker, the spare wheel is a B78-13ST sport traveler 78, I have not found a tire size for the tires on the trailer, they are Carlisle tires. What tires do I need to replace the spare?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The B78-13ST is an obsolete tire size that's no longer used. A 175/80-13 is the closest modern tire size. The # AM10210 tire you looked at is a 175-80-13 with a D load range radial tire that has a 1,610 lb capacity at 65 psi. You'll want to make sure you replace the tires in pairs.
After several years, tires can start to dry rot. If your spare is more than 6 years old, I'd urge you to replace it even if the tire still appears to have plenty of tread on it.
We also offer that tire size in several wheel/tire combos, which you can see by clicking the provided link.
For instance, we have a 175/80R-13 radial tire on a 13x4-1/2 inch galvanized wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern as part # AM31994. If you'd prefer an aluminum wheel, we offer the same tire size on a 13x5 inch wheel with the same bolt pattern as part # AM32001HWTB.
I'll link you to our Trailer Tire help article that you might find helpful.
