Question:
I run my Advent Air RV air conditioner from a generator and it struggles when the compressor first kicks on. Will the AACSC start capacitor help?

Hey Josh, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Advent Air Start Capacitor # ADV97QR is exactly what I recommend when the AC has trouble getting through that initial compressor startup. It stores extra energy and releases it when the compressor starts, helping reduce the strain caused by that big initial power demand.
I really like this upgrade because it is simple, inexpensive, and addresses one of the hardest moments on your electrical system: compressor startup. Once the compressor is running, the relay takes the start capacitor out of the circuit until it is needed again. It is also a straightforward bolt-on installation under the AC shroud.
What size generator are you using with your Advent Air AC?
