Will the CE Smith padlock bracket work with this mount? Looks like it might.

Hey Alex! The CE Smith Padlock Brackets # CE26002Z-2 won't fit the Tie Down Spare Tire Mount # TD86FR as-is. The holes in the brackets are 3/8" and the adjustable wheel studs on the Tie Down mount are larger.

Based on the design, I would simply drill out the holes in the CE Smith brackets enough to fit over the studs. The nuts will still tighten down over the brackets to hold them in place, so they should function just fine for locking your spare.

What kind of trailer are you using the spare tire mount on?
