Hi Randy,

You can for sure use the Gen-Y Installation Bolt Kit for Gen-Y 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapters part # GY86FR to install the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel part # GY33GR on your camper. While the mounting holes are in different locations depending on original pin box model, they're all the same size so it'll fit no problem. If you also need replacement safety chains, Gen-Y has the Safety Chain with 2 Hooks for Gen-Y 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Boxes part # GY49GR.

Are you switching the GY33GR from one trailer to another?

I am using the Gen-Y 5th wheel pin box as a direct replacement for my OEM issued Rhino Box. My camper GVWR tops out at 18205. At CAT scale, it registers 16000 with calculated pin weight. My actual pin weight is 3250. I would highly recommend using the Gen-Y bolt kit and properly torquing them. I cannot give any advice for the Gooseneck assembly. I prefer distributing the weight of the pin box over the OEM pucks vs the Gooseball method which concentrates all the forces of towing on a much smaller area of the truck frame. (This is my personal preference)

@ItT, I just replaced my OEM pinbox with the Gen-Y 5th wheel pin box using the Gen-Y Installation Bolt Kit, and they worked perfectly. I did the installation alone, and the only challenge was torquing to the required 160ft-lbs. I wouldn't trust any other hardware more than what the manufacturer supplied. If you have not already done so, I would suggest that you call eTrailer or Gen-Y to ensure that you are choosing the right pinbox for your setup.

@Chris I agree wholeheartedly with you, other hardware may not be the same quality as what comes from the manufacturer. Double checking the fit is a great tip too, there's quite a few details that goes into getting someone the correct pin box.
