Why Won't The MORryde Add-A-Step Add-A-Step Fit My MORryde Step Made In 2019?

Updated 08/10/2026 | Published 08/06/2026

Question:

I just received the add a tread for my camper. The steps I have are Morryde steps and are the 19 1/2 inches ordered. My camper and steps are 2019. The extended legs are different and the legs on my steps are wider than the add on. Do you have an add a tread step that will work on my steps?

Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out. Based on what you're describing, it sounds like your 2019 MORryde steps are the first-generation StepAbove. The # MR58MV Add-A-Step is designed only for second-generation StepAbove steps, which use the redesigned wider top step and different leg assembly. That's why the legs on your new Add-A-Step don't match the legs on your existing steps.

Unfortunately, MORryde doesn't offer an Add-A-Step for the first-generation StepAbove, so there isn't another tread that will fit your current steps. The STP54-075 has the same second-generation mounting design, just with a wider tread, so it won't fit either.
