Question:
I have a 2026 Chevy Silverado 2500 that I use to pull a pretty heavy equipment trailer. I already added air bags to help keep the truck level and improve the handling, but I'd like to upgrade the brakes as well. The factory brakes are still okay, but since I'm towing heavy pretty regularly I'd rather upgrade them before they wear out. What would you recommend for the front and rear?

Hey Ryan! Since you're regularly towing a heavy equipment trailer, upgrading the brakes will be a nice addition along with the air bags you already installed. You have two good options for your 2026 Silverado 2500 depending on how far you want to take the upgrade.
If you want to keep your factory rotors, you can upgrade the front and rear brake pads with two sets of the Timbren BES Severe-Duty Brake Pads # T53UV. These are low-metallic pads designed for demanding applications like heavy towing, with a strong initial bite and resistance to brake fade as heat builds up during repeated stops.
For the more complete upgrade, I'd go with the Timbren BES Brake Upgrade Kit # T94EV (Front) along with the # T84EV (Rear). These give you the severe-duty pads along with Timbren's matched rotors on all four corners. Since you're specifically setting the truck up for frequent heavy towing, this is the setup I'd choose if you want to upgrade the entire braking system rather than just swapping out the pads.
What kind of equipment are you normally hauling on the trailer?
