Highlights

  • Strong Initial Brake Response: Severe-duty low-metallic friction formula delivers strong pedal bite during heavy braking.
  • Consistent Braking Under Heat: Fade-resistant friction formula supports smooth braking through repeated stops.
  • Quieter Brake Operation: Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims reduce brake noise while resisting shim degradation.
  • Faster Break-In After Installation: Bed-in coating delivers immediate pedal feel and reaches full performance with minimal bedding.
  • Precision-Molded Pad Construction: Positive molding creates consistent pad density and tighter dimensional tolerances.
  • Field-Tested for severe duty: Validated in towing, utility, municipal, off-road, and fleet service applications.

Features to know about

Confident Pedal Response When Your Truck Is Working Hard

Heavy trailers and loaded trucks can expose the limits of standard replacement brake pads, especially during repeated stops. These brake pads use a severe duty low-metallic friction formula that has been field-tested in demanding towing, utility, municipal, off-road, and fleet applications to deliver smooth braking, strong pedal bite, and fade resistance. Designed for front or rear wheel applications, depending on your vehicle, they deliver immediate, predictable braking that stays composed when the workload increases.

Premium Construction for Consistent Braking Performance

Brake performance starts with consistent pad construction, not just friction material. Positive mold manufacturing controls pad shape, density, and thickness while fully containing the friction material in precision-machined molds. Uniform compression under high pressure and heat creates consistent density, structural strength, and dimensional accuracy, while tighter manufacturing tolerances produce cleaner edges with reduced waste. Your brake system delivers consistent pedal feel from one pad to the next.

Reduced Brake Noise Without Sacrificing Performance

Low-metallic brake pads can deliver the strong initial bite many towing-focused drivers want, but noise is often part of the tradeoff. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims made with Trelleborg brake shim materials help suppress brake noise while resisting shim surface degradation. Chemical vulcanization hardens the rubber like a car tire, helping your truck maintain quieter braking through demanding service.

Spend Less Time Breaking In New Pads

New brake pads need time to transfer an even layer of friction material onto the rotor before they reach their intended braking performance. Timbren's brake pads include a bed-in coating, a thin friction layer applied to the pad surface that helps speed up the break-in process. The result is better pedal feel right after installation and less time waiting for your brakes to reach full performance, so you spend less time breaking in new pads. Changing brake pads is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you'd rather leave it to a pro, find an installer near you.

Video Transcript for Review of Timbren Vehicle Brake Parts - Front Rear Wheels BES Disc Brake Pads - T53UV

Hi everybody. Andy here with the etrailer. Let's take a quick look at these Timbren front or rear wheel BES disc brake pads. Now these brake pads are custom fit to fit the Sierras and Silverados that you see there on your screen. So it is vital that you go through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer, pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it has for you. And our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.

Also, I wanted to mention that we do have complete kits available that include the rotors with the brake pads that are designed for your vehicle. So if you want the complete kit, rotors and brake pads, again, go through our vehicle fit guide and it will point you in the right direction. So if you do a lot of towing, your factory brake pads can start to feel overwhelmed by all of the extra weight. These severe duty brake pads are designed specifically for trucks that tow and haul heavy loads. It's going to give you that stronger initial bite and a more responsive pedal so you feel more confident when you need to slow down.

Whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone pulls out in front of you, these are going to give you better control during hard braking situations. These are also built to handle the heat that comes with towing. The fade resistant friction material is going to maintain consistent braking performance through repeated stops. So your brakes are going to stay predictable even on those long rains or in stop and go traffic. And because these are low metallic pads, they're going to naturally provide more stopping power, but they can also create more noise.

To help with that, these premium multi-layered vulcanized rubber shims are going to reduce squeal without sacrificing brake performance. And as you can see there, I have a photo there showing you a little closer detail of how the the shims are constructed. And also another photo there, just a better detail of the construction of the brake pad itself. So each pad is positive molded, which is going to ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of the pads. It includes everything that you see here along with this sensor wire.

But if you need help with installation, we do have a way to help you out. On this product page, typically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Haven’t put many miles on them just yet, but they stop very quickly. Shipping was great, and packaging is nice. Blue covers are a nice touch to the pad as well. Will update after I wear them out
