Truck Camper Tie Downs for 2004 Toyota Tacoma

Updated 08/10/2026 | Published 08/04/2026

Question:

I am looking at the rear tie down brackets to bolt on the frame of my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. Is the $853.00 for the pair or do I need to order two? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out Kathleen. The TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Tie Downs # TL66ZV include the complete set of front and rear tie-downs for both the driver and passenger sides of your truck.

This kit is the correct fit provided your Toyota Tacoma has:

A 6-foot bed
No running boards or cab-length running boards only
A non-TorkLift aftermarket rear hitch

If you only need the rear tie-downs, the correct part is # TLR3500. This kit includes the rear tie-downs for both sides of the truck.

One important note is that # TLR3500 is designed to work only with an aftermarket rear hitch. At this time, TorkLift does not offer a rear tie-down kit for this application if your Tacoma is equipped with the factory OEM receiver.

What type of truck camper do you have?

Thank you for that information, we do have an aftermarket hitch because ours rusted out. Can you tell me exactly where this bracket gets mounted on? Is it the hitch or the frame? To answer your question about the camper, it is a 2003 Sun-Lite Skyhawk SB. Kathy

@KathleenG Cool camper! The rear tie downs # TLR3500 will mount to an available location on the side plate of the hitch.
