Hello Dave,
Thanks for writing in!
I ran into the same thing you did. I couldn't find a dedicated hitch cover for a 3" receiver either. I'm going to reach out to our manufacturers to see why there aren't any available.
In the meantime, I do have a solution that I actually think works out pretty well. You can use the TowSmart Hitch Receiver Adapter - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" Receiver - Pin and Clip # TS44VR along with the Curt Rubber Hitch Cover for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # C22277. I attached an image of it installed, it blends in nicely.
The nice thing about the # TS44VR is that it includes both a 2-1/2" and a 2" reducer. That not only lets you use the hitch cover now, but also gives you the flexibility to use 2-1/2" or 2" hitch-mounted accessories down the road if you ever need to.
I also passed the idea along to our Product Development Group to see if we can get a true 3" hitch cover made. Hopefully they'll think it's as good of an idea as I do!
What do you mainly use your hitch for? What kind of work are you going to get done with the # CA24AJ race ramps you got? Those Calibers are really nice!
