Recommend 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2019 Ram 3500 6-1/2" Bed with a B&W Turnover Ball

just ordered the BW turnover ball for my 2019 ram 2500 6.4 hemi. 6.5 bed . what will be the best hitch for my setup, will have a fifth wheel which has a curt helix pin box ?

Since you've already ordered the B&W Turnoverball for your 2019 Ram 2500, my recommendation is the B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400-5W that's designed for the Turnoverball system. It's one of our most popular hitches thanks to its dual jaw design, smooth ride and easy removal when you need full bed access.
The Curt Helux pin box is fully compatible with the B&W Companion, so you won't have any compatibility issues with that combination.

The B&W slider is the way to go since you’ve already got the turnover ball and a short bed. You could save a few bucks and get the non-sliding version but the 1 time you’d need it and not have it, you’ll end up with a nice little crease on the cab of your truck. The B&W setup is a great match up and the B&W customer service is top shelf. A real person, in America, will answer the phone.

I use the same setup in my 2016 Ford F350 short box. It works great. The slider works easy and the fifth wheel latches reliably. The hitch is very strong. The only drawback is its weight, it is very heavy. Nothing you can't overcome with some imagination.

I bought the B&W Companion Slider because I already had the Turnoverball and didn't want rails in my truck bed. That combination has worked out great. A couple of things to know: the hitch weighs about 300 pounds, so it's not light. Also, don't forget to put anti-seize on the bolt you tighten to secure it. It'll make removal much easier later. The slider operates smoothly unlike some other hitches I've owned. It's also very smooth towing down the road. I've owned several fifth-wheel hitches over the years, and this is by far the best one. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
