Can Coleman Everest RV AC Unit Install in Alliance Valor 31T13

Updated 07/22/2026 | Published 07/18/2026

Question:

I have an Alliance Valor 31T13 with 30-amp service, two ducted Coleman-Mach 13.5K air conditioners, and a Precision Circuits MIDI Power Control System. The existing thermostat for the A/C I want to replace is a Coleman-Mach/Airxcel 9430A338 heat/cool thermostat, using conventional R, B, Y, GH, GL and W wiring. The Precision Circuits system currently appears to shed the compressor by opening the yellow Y-compressor thermostat circuit. I am considering the Everest VS-18 with: 2111-00471 rooftop unit 2111-0044 ducted ceiling assembly 2111-0043 heat/cool thermostat Does the Everest controller have an approved external EMS/load-shed or dry-contact input? If not, is interrupting the unit’s 115-volt branch-circuit power through the Precision Circuits relay approved by Coleman-Mach for this inverter-driven air conditioner? Can the Everest instead remain continuously powered while the PCS sheds the trailer’s other conventional A/C and managed loads? Can the existing Alliance ceiling duct network be connected to the 2111-0044 assembly? Can the existing propane-furnace circuit be connected to the brown furnace output on the Everest ceiling assembly? Does the supplied 25-foot, four-wire thermostat communication cable have to be installed intact, or is there an approved adapter that can use the existing 9430A338 thermostat conductors? Please confirm parts required for this conversion.

Hey Matt, this is a really well written and great question but the Coleman Mach Everest # CM35MR can't be operated in the same way as the previous AC unit you have because it has a variable speed compressor so it's activation is totally different. What that means is you would need the part # CM35MR and you would need to use every component that comes with this kit including the thermostat, air box and AC unit. Your can use your current furnace with this and the ducts in your RV currently are perfectly compatible.
