Which DC to DC Converter for Converting Motorhomes House Batteries to Lithium

Question:
I have a 2022 winnebago adventurer with the v8 7 liter engine. I want to covert the house batteries to lithium and understand i need to add a dc to dc charger to protect the alternater. Which model charger do you recomend and what size fuses should i use to protect it. Thanks in advance

Hey Henry for a typical lithium conversion on your 2022 Winnebago Adventurer, I recommend the Victron Orion XS 12/12-50A DC-to-DC Charger, part # VN93VR that you referenced. This charger will limit the amount of current pulled from the chassis charging system to 50 amps, helping protect the alternator while providing the proper charging profile for LiFePO4 house batteries.
Victron recommends installing a 60- to 70-amp fuse on both sides of the charger. One fuse near the chassis start battery source and the other near the lithium house batteries. Do you have lithium batteries picked out already?
