Looking at base plate for 2008 Chevy cobalt. The plate I’m looking at is demo DM9518187 this will fit the car ? And don’t need tabs for that plate ?My other question is will that work with demco bars I already have the model of the set I have are 9511007 ser y08467 thanks Will the blue ox base plate work with demco dominator tow bars.

Hey Richard, welcome back! So long as your 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt isn't the SS or Sport model, then the Demco item # DM9518187 will indeed fit! This baseplate has the connection points built into the frame so it does not have removable tabs.
The Demco Classic Base Plate Kit item # DM9518187 is compatible with your 9511007 Demco Aluminator tow bar.
The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BX1662 that fits the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt will work with your 9511007 Demco Aluminator tow bar and Demco Dominator tow bars like item # DM9511008 if you use the Demco Tow Bar Adapter Brackets for Blue Ox Base Plates item # DM9523041. These bolt onto the ends of your tow bar arms and replace the ones currently on it that fit Demco baseplates. The connect right to the Blue Ox removable tabs.
We also have the Demco Dominator Non-Binding Tow Bar item # DM9511008-BX that comes with the Blue Ox adapter brackets preinstalled if you're looking to upgrade your 9511007 Demco Aluminator tow bar.
Please note that if your 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt is a Sport model, the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BX1662 is the only option that will fit. It works with the standard models too but there's no baseplate kit for the SS model.
