RV Converter Replacement for PC 30 in Sands Slide In

Updated 07/21/2026 | Published 07/12/2026

Question:

I have an 1998 sands slide in truck camper that fried the “power source” 30 amp power supply/battery charger. Would this be the best modern replacement? My only question is that I have the outlet plug and the ground/positive/negative coming out of the old pc30 model…this has an extra set of “outs” that mine doesn’t. Any advice ? Thanks!

Hey Bill, yes the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger # PD49RR would be a great modern replacement for the 30 amp converter you have now. It also can handle the modern battery styles like Lithium and AGM as well so it will have all the bases covered.

So I just received this product but it only has one set of outputs, not the 4 like the diagram you sent shows….

@Bill are one set of the outputs vertical and the other straight out of the back of the unit? The diagram I took is straight from the instructions.

@JamesonC No there are only one set. That’s why I am asking about the diagram. Do I have a wrong one sent from you guys then?

Will this adequately charge and maintain the newer lithium batteries? The research I’m finding says this model does not?

@BillG it will charge lithium batteries as it has a lithium profile. What you are seeing might be info on the previous version of this that shares a similar part number.
