Got quoted twice the price of this unit (with overnight shipping!) by a local rv repair shop, for the part only plus an unknown amount of labor!
Overall it took me just under two hours to replace the converter and panel, taking my time and double checking everything. The instructions are absolutely amazing and spot on.
It saved my trip and my batteries. It also prepares me for the future when I switch to Lithium batteries.
My only small complaint is that the new screws on the outer panel are now metal instead of brown, but I just decided to not look in that direction ever again.

The converter/charger potion of the power distribution center, which controls all the 110 and 12 volt electricity on my 20 year old enclosed car hauler died. I immediately assumed that I would have to replace the entire power distribution center. Then I thought that I might be able to find a converter charger and adapt it to my power distribution center as I often do I turn to Amazon and found nothing that would easily replace the existing Converter charger. Then I remembered etrailer a company with which I’ve had great success in the past and searched for the converter charger for my part number power distribution center. I was immediately given a listing for an updated replacement for the converter charger portion. It would a big improvement over the 20 year old technology in the existing converter/charger. etrailer had complete instructions on line, and installing it was well within this 74 year old’s capability. In addition it would be at my home in 4 days, with free shipping. It cost less the $100 more than a noncompatable unit that would be MUCH, harder install.
It arrived in 3days and installation was exactly as described online. It did require sitting on the trailer’s Fluor for about 5 hours total. In my younger days it would have been closer to 2 hours. The included directions were exactly what was on line, and were complete and completely accurate, among the best I’ve ever used. A couple of times I had to reread the instructions and take a second look at the project, but a Quick look made everything clear.
When the job was complete, and double checked I plugged in the trailer and turned on the battery switch. Evwerything worked and I noticed a blinking light that was not on my older one. A quick read of the operating instructions showed that the rate at which it was blinking indicated it was charging at a medium fate, and it will blink more slowly until the battery is fully charged, at which time it will blink even slower. My older unit never lowered the charging rate, which is hard on battery life.
I am very pleased with the converter/charger, and elated with etrailer!

The Progressive Dynamics Replacement works great and did not take very long to replace, my brother-in-law had gotten one and told me about it and was pleased with it and now so am I with mine

The progressive dynamics replacement is still working great after a year and I recommend this product if you should need a replacement
I’ve have had this unit in operation for a year and pleased with it. I replace my old original 33-year-old Magnetek unit after I installed a new Norcold fridge and found it wouldn’t operate on AC when plugged into shore power via the old converted. It would if I plugged the fridge into an extension cord directly. I guessed it didn’t like the DC it was getting from the old converter. It operates fine now with the new converter which must have a “sweeter” DC supply.
The product was pretty much plug and play.Installed on a weekend, had a question but no tech support on weekends. Edges were a little bent but was able to straighten out. Working so far so good. Would recommend.

The item received was easy to order and came quickly. It's listed as a direct replacement for my defunct unit. It came with a nice set of directions that will help me switch out the old one for the new one. I have not had time to do that as of yet. However I feel that it should work to my satisfaction.
It’s been a great upgrade for my trailer
I like the smart wizard battery charging feature
Received within 2 days and perfect replacement for the old parallax. AC and DC wires were on opposite sides of how my panel was set up, so they could have been madea little longer but other than that, all worked perfectly. Replaced in under 30 minutes.
Was exactly what I needed
Installation was straight forward.
Wires were labeled
Fumbling with the insulation took less than an hour
Only problem was it came with a piece of plastic I can’t yet figure out were it goes
Replacement for Magnetec 7345. Easy install took me about an hour. Very pleased with the product.
I have not been able to install the PD4645v controller but my readings indicate this is an excellent product which is perfect for my RV. I am very impressed by your customer service, your easy communication, and the ease of ordering. You are impressive.

This converter is excellent, as is the customer service. I had some confusion about the wiring, which the etrailer tech was not able to address. He gave me the manufacturer contact, who spotted my problem from a quick picture of my install. With that corrected, the unit has been running without issue for over a month now. I replaced a 32-year-old converter and the first thing I noticed is that the lights have gone from dim/depressing to bright and cheery. I'm so glad I bought this unit from etrailer rather than the one made in China from [online].

After one year, the unit continues to perform perfectly. I’ve no issues.
It runs well, stays a lot cooler than the old converter, it's a lot quieter, it's easier to install than I would have thought, the fuse box is very nice and if a fuse blows it has a red light right above it that makes it easy to find,

Been in use for about a year. 8 months of continuous use. Still quiet, still runs cool, and does the job its made to do.
Exactly what I needed and quick delivery. The website had all the info needed to make an accurate and confident decision. The installation instructions were precise and easy to follow. Some of the print was small for these old eyes but it was easy to pull a pdf copy and expand the print. Problem solved. This is my second purchase and I have been very pleased both times.

Great! Smooth sailing from the moment I powered it up.
Great replacement! Instruction images were a bit difficult to see but overall it was a good fit and functions as it should.
eTrailer is unique in that there is some knowledge base with product listing. I like that they provide knowledge and know how to so many of the purchases I have made here. Always my first "go to" if I think eTrailer might have the thing I am in need of.

Customer service was awesome! The representative helped me find the panel that fit my needs exactly. They even followed up to make sure it was delivered undamaged. The part came with detailed instructions that walked me right through the installation process. This couldn't have been any easier.
I just hope it works.
The delivery person threw the box over my back fence and the unit is only single boxed, no packing.
One corner was slightly bent . . . the electronics and PC Board look fine.
Everything was awesome!
