Updated 07/06/2026 | Published 06/29/2026

Question:

Is this is a direct replacement for my current Coleman Mach 15, ducted w/heat pump. Would I need any additional parts to make the replacement easier?

Hey James, welcome back! As far as direct replacements go you're going to need to replace your entire system. To replace your Coleman Mach 15 with a heat pump, I recommend the Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump & Air Distribution Box item # FR59TQ in white or item # FR27TQ in black.

There's no way to just replace your AC/heat pump unit, you'll need to replace all your AC system components. This is due to the EPA changing the regulations on the refrigerant in the AC units at the beginning of 2025. They've been upgraded to R32 and your Coleman Mach has the now obsolete 410a refrigerant. None of the 410a components are compatible now with the newer systems. You will be able to use your RV's existing wiring to power the AC system and connect to the included thermostat.

The Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube Conditioner System item # FR59TQ in white or item # FR27TQ in black are 18,000 btu systems with a built in heat pump that include an air distribution box that works in a ducted orientation only. These systems have the variable speed compressor that eliminates the voltage surges during startup. The included thermostat and mounting hardware are all you will need to complete the installation.

What kind of RV do you have and what kind of climates do you typically travel in? I'm just trying to dial in the right system for you. We've got quite a few replacement options and I understand swapping out everything to replace an older AC unit wasn't what you had in mind.
