Can the pull away cable be replaced? Is their a video for this?

Hey Eric, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the breakaway cable on the Dexter DX7.5L actuator can be replaced. What you'll need for that is the Emergency Break Away Cable Repair Kit # DX64XR. This comes with a new cable, cable attachment plate, able clip, pushrod release bracket, and pushrod release bracket spring.
That said, we don't have a video showing how to replace the cable, but I can provide some general instructions for you.
Basically, on the bottom of the inner member of the actuator there is a small tab you can push down. Pushing this tab should release the internal workings and grant you access to the cable. From there, remove the old cable and the hardware that holds it to the actuator, then install the new cable and brackets in the same orientation as the originals. Make sure the cable moves freely and isn't rubbing or binding anywhere. I've included a few pictures that should get you going in the right direction. Hope this helps!
