Will MORryde X-Factor Be Beneficial On Front/Rear Hangers With Lippert Center Point

Updated 06/28/2026 | Published 06/25/2026

Question:

I am thinking about adding the Lippert Centerpoint Air ride to our tandem axle trailer. Would it benefit me to add the Moryde x-factor braces to the very front and very rear hangers to help with frame flex ? I don’t believe there would be clearance for a center one.

Hey Barry, welcome back! Yes, it would definitely benefit you to add the MORryde X-Factor # MR33WR to the front and rear hangers. These, along with an upgraded equalizer like the Center Point # LC1565391, are one of the best upgrades you can make to a travel trailer or 5th wheel.

Make sure you check under your trailer to see if there is anything that will interfere with installation. You can add the adapter # MR43WR to drop the crossmember to clear obstacles. Also yes, with the Center Point installed you will not be able to add one to the middle set of hangers.

Where are you headed once you upgrade your suspension?

I chose to add the crossmembers to all hangers. Yes it’s likely overkill however you’re already there with most of the suspension disassembled. It’s just added peace of mind knowing all hangers are equally supported working together as a unit. In my opinion the hangers are the weakest point in most trailers suspension systems. Nice choice on upgrading your trailer.

@Eric adding them to all of the hangers is a great choice, a lot of people go that route for sure. Some systems just don't allow for it on the center set like the Center Point here or the Roadmaster Comfort Ride. Thanks for sharing!

I installed the xmembers on rear and center hangers of my 35’ toyhauler (3-4 yrs ago). Felt I noticed some stability while towing. This past year after trip down south when we returned home I noticed a broken spring hanger on rear axle. I religiously check my suspension because of past issues so I do not believe it was a long term issue. That being said I am pretty confident that the xmembers added strength and stability and prevented a situation from becoming much worse. Now with the xmembers and all hangers replaced and/or beefed up I feel much better. Very glad I installed them. One of the better upgrades for my system.

I totally agree with the expert response from Robin H. And anything that strengthens the suspension hangers is a plus. Tim

I added MORryde X-Factor # MR33WR to our 337RLS FW. Very straight forward install. I installed two of them in the middle and rear locations. I did have to use the drop down hangers on the rear hangers to drop below the fresh water drain valve. With the right tools this is an afternoon install. The X-Factor brace once bolted in place provides the extra support for the hangers I was hoping for. No issues after 2+ years. Highly recommend.

Hi Barry, I added the x-factor support between my Mor-ride 3000 ride support between both axles, and the x-factor between my hangers, I also hade both my axles aligned by a top notch suspension shop in Oregon, my 5th wheel tracks perfectly and my frame is now a lot more stable.
