Question:

I have customer wanting to upgrade front and rear sway bars and install steering stabilizer on a 2026 E450 chassis. Vin:1FDXE4FN2TDD39524. Will the Helwig HE63MR and He 78RR work? We will also be installing front and rear sumo springs

Thanks for the information David and welcome back! The Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar item # HE78RR is the correct one for a 2026 Ford E-450 chassis. However, for the front you'll need the Hellwig item # HE26GR. This is a 1-3/8" diameter front sway bar that Hellwig lists as being the correct one. The HE63MR you referenced fits late '90's early 2000's F-450 cab and chassises.

For front SumoSprings that fit your customers 2026 Ford E-450 cutaway, you'll need the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs item # SSF-106-47. They have a 1,000 lbs capacity.

I've got a couple options for the rear and which one you go with is going to depend on what motorhome was built on that E-450 chassis. The SumoSprings item # SSR-130-54 have no compatibility issues and are rated for 2,800 lbs of support.

The SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs item # SSR-106-47-1 have a much higher 5,000 lbs capacity but do not fit Thor Motorhomes, Jayco models with the J-ride installed, and requires at least 7" of clearance between the sidewall of the tires and the frame.

What brand and model motorhome does your customer have?
