Is There a Way to Secure SnapPads to Trailer Jack Feet So they Don't Get Stolen

Updated 10/12/2026 | Published 10/08/2026

Question:

Has anyone ask if there is a way to secure snap pads to the jacks. This summer I had one of the pads sitting on the ground at a truck stop, I found it while I was doing my walk around, a few seconds later a trucker told me he chased off some kid that was under my coach. Any suggestions?

Hey Roland, sorry to hear about your SnapPads almost getting stolen. I wish there was a better way to lock them on so that people wouldn't be tempted to steal them. I will say we haven't heard a lot about these getting stolen so I don't think it will be something you run into a lot. I almost wonder if the trucker was actually who removed it and came up with a story on the spot as I can't imagine a kid wanting the pads. But weirder things have happened.

I suppose you could drill a hole and embed a bolt in each one, but I've had mine for years and never had an issue with thievery as it's a pretty limited use item.

Roland, Unlikely that anyone would want to steal these. It probably will not happen again, they are pretty specific as to size and use. Chances are they were looking for something else under there and the pad was in the way. You could glue them, industrial strength spray glue available on Amazon would work.

@Gregg yeah a really strong glue would definitely do the trick. Good idea.
