Will The Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller Work On A 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel?

Updated 06/22/2026 | Published 06/16/2026

Question:

Why does the site indicate that a Curt Echo wireless brake controller 51180 does that work on a 2026 ram rebel 1500? I saw another response from Jesse to another buyer that it did work on a 2025 even though the site said that it could not. Will it work on a 2026 ram rebel 1500? It appears anything with a seven point connection will work.

Hey Jeff, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180 will absolutely work on your 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel. As long as it has the factory 7-way, the echo unit will work just fine. I'm not 100% sure why we don't list it, but I think it's because there are several custom plug-in under-dash controllers we list instead. Basically, the Echo will work on any vehicle with a 7-way so as long as you have that plus a smartphone with the Curt app you'll be good to go. Sorry for any confusion.

What kind of trailer will you be hauling?

Works great. Easy to dial in different trlr weight when towing different loads. Use it on several of my vehicles (20 Ford Transit 350HD and 21 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon), so I only need one to cover two vehicles.
