Is the Valance on the Black Side or White Side of Replacement Fabric # E46QV?

Updated 06/18/2026 | Published 06/16/2026

Question:

Which side of this fabric is the valence located? White or Black? Another way of stating the question is: When the fabric is rolled up on the tube, is it black or white?

Hello Neal,

Thanks for writing in, I'm glad you found us!

The valance on the Replacement Fabric for etrailer Powered RV Awning # E46QV is located on the black fade side of the fabric. When the awning is rolled up on the roller tube, the black fade side is the outward-facing side and the white side faces inward toward the roller tube.

In other words, when the awning is fully retracted, the black fade side is what you would see wrapped around the roller tube, and the valance hangs from that same side when the awning is extended.

If you look at the picture I attached, the left side would first go around the roller.

What kind of camper are you looking to add this fabric to, and what trip are you looking most forward to this summer?
