EcoHitch for 2026 Subaru Crosstrek

Question:

I would like to buy EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit for a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek. I would like to buy it with a 1.25 inch receiver and I only see the 2 inch options. I see that I can but the 1.25 inch receiver separately, at significant cost. Is there a package for this hitch that comes with a 1.25 inch receiver standard?

Hey Tom, there isn't a EcoHitch for your 26 Crosstrek that has a removable 1-1/4 inch hitch opening. Is there a reason you are wanting the smaller hitch size? Generally people prefer the 2 inch if available which we have with the part # EH57CR.

Thanks for getting back to me Jameson. Yeah, I talked to Torklift and figured out that while they do have a 1-1/4 inch receiver for their EcoHitch line it is not (yet) tested and approved for the Crosstrek version. So I bought the EH57CR (from etrailer), with a reducer. I am not happy about that solution (I am afraid it will rattle or move around) but oh well. The reason I need the 1-1/4 inch is that I have a bi bike rack I like very much in that size and hypothetically I could swap receiver sizes with this hitch.

@TomZ That makes sense. What bike rack do you have? It might be a long shot but a lot of the 1-1/4 inch hitch bike racks have 2 inch hitch adapters made for their shanks that might give you what you are looking for without the movement in the hitch tube.
