Hi Robert,

Based on the bolt pattern dimensions you provided, the etrailer Self-Contained Hydraulic A-Frame Trailer Jack # e43QV is going to be your best bolt-on replacement option. The mounting pattern on this jack uses the standard A-frame configuration, including the 3.74 inch spacing across the upper mounting holes, which closely matches the 3.75 inch measurement you provided. From what I've seen on Big Tex 90SR trailers, they typically use a standard A-frame jack setup, so this is the direction I would go.

What I really like about the # e43QV is that it maintains the 8,000 lb lifting capacity commonly found on these dump trailers while eliminating the need for manual cranking. The hydraulic system is completely self-contained, so there are no external pumps or hydraulic hoses to install or maintain. Once installed and connected to 12 volt power, you simply use the controls to raise and lower the trailer tongue. It is a much more convenient setup, especially if you're hooking up and unhooking frequently.

I completely understand wanting to avoid drilling new holes or modifying the trailer frame. Based on the measurements you've provided and the typical configuration of the Big Tex 90SR, this is the option I feel most confident recommending because it offers the capacity your trailer needs and is designed as a bolt-on A-frame jack replacement.

What do you usually haul with your 90SR, landscaping loads, equipment, or home projects?

Heather : Thanks but that is the standard lift that will not work. There is nowhere to drill holes since the location where the jack needs to be installed has clips and there is nowhere to drill ... Looks like this is a proprietary jack setup ...

@RobertC Hi Robert, Thank you for the clarification. That is my fault, I assumed the measurements you took were for an a-frame mounting bracket. Based on what you're describing, it sounds like your Big Tex may have a proprietary mounting bracket rather than the standard A-frame mounting pattern used by the # e43QV. If that's the case, I definitely don't want to point you toward a jack that would require modifying the trailer. Could you send a few photos of the existing jack and the mounting area, including the bolt pattern and the clips you mentioned? Send the photos to [email protected] That will help me determine whether Big Tex used a proprietary setup or if there's a direct replacement available that will bolt into the existing mount without drilling. Once I can see the mounting arrangement, I should be able to point you in the right direction.
