Thank you for your question, Tim.

Thank you for the information you've shared. To find the correct parts, I will need the length of your current equalizer measured from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the other.

When replacing equalizers, you always want to stay as close to the original size as possible. Even a difference of 1/4" can affect how the suspension sits and operates, so getting an accurate measurement is important.

I attached a picture below of part # K71-653-00 showing its measurements for reference of what to get.

Let me know what measurement you come up with, and I'll be happy to help you find the right equalizer.

Hi Tim The installation was very straightforward and easy to install. It took about three hours for each side. Definitely pay attention to your wet bolts for the frame area of the string. I have a 2015 raptor and the wet bolts were not long enough to go through. I had to order the Lippert wet bolts, the bolts included in the kit were not long enough. I hope this helps..

@Mike Sorry to hear the bolts didn't work out for you, Mike. What size did you end up going with?

This was a game changer for me. The ride is much, much smoother and the tires on the rear axle are wearing much better. Things in the trailer don't bounce around as much and stay in place. It was a very good investment.

@Frank That's great to hear. I know one of the last things I'd want to have to do when I get to the camp ground is pick up the camper from traveling.

I used these to replace the stock ones that broke. Huge difference in quality I recommend them.

Hi Tim, My most recent installation was on a heavy-duty utility trailer rather than an RV. The product itself has performed very well and has been easy to maintain, but the installation was a bit more challenging in this application. The biggest difficulty was getting the spring hangers reinstalled into the brackets. I had previously installed the same type of system on an RV, and that installation was much more straightforward. On the utility trailer, the entire job took me about 7 hours to complete. By comparison, the RV installation took about 2.5 hours per side. If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be to install the wet bolts with the grease zerks facing outward rather than inward. I've installed them both ways, and from a maintenance standpoint, it's much easier to grease them from the outside than having to crawl underneath the trailer. Of course, this may not be practical in every situation and will depend on the amount of clearance you have to access the grease zerks. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and its performance. I hope this information helps with your decision. Best of luck with your installation!

@Marcus Thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed follow-up! It's great to hear the system has performed well and been easy to maintain. We also really appreciate the comparison between the RV and utility trailer installations, that's valuable insight for anyone considering this upgrade on a similar trailer. Your tip about orienting the grease zerks outward is a great one. Little details like that can make routine maintenance much easier down the road. Thanks again for sharing your experience and installation advice, and we're glad the upgrade has been working out so well for you!

Be sure to get a good set of measurements on the existing equalizer so the good folks at eTrailer can get you the right product. I went with the Dexter EZ-Flex as it was the exact dimensions as the factory one that came with my Grand Design ImagineXLS 22MLE, which is slightly smaller and lighter than your rig. NGL, putting it on was an afternoon that I'm glad is in the rear view mirror. Find a super level spot to do the work and you'll find it much easier to do than if you're on a grade, even a minor one. I used a combination of jack stands, a floor jack, and a couple of bottle jacks to move things into place so all of the bolts lined up properly as my driveway has a slope to it, and that caused the leaf springs to move around a bit. It feels like the coach gets a smoother ride with the upgrade, though I have no concrete data to back that up. Best of luck on the install.
