Question:
I have a 2015 VW Golf TDI but not of the options mention that one. They say R and GTI. I am wondering if the same kits work for that one. The 2 inch one for 375 or any cheaper options would be ideal.

Hey Thomas. For your 2015 VW Golf TDI, I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # 306-X7315. This hitch is custom fit for the S, SE, or SEL models. They didn't put the TDI engines in the R or GTI models.
The EcoHitch item # 306-X7315 is going to be the best option for your Golf TDI. It's the only hitch available that has a 2" receiver so it'll give you the most options for accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers. This hitch is custom fit and comes with all necessary installation. The entire crosstube mounts behind the rear bumper so all you'll see is the 2" receiver. This not only looks better but really helps with ground clearance.
I linked an installation video below that we made along with a couple of pictures so you can see the EcoHitch item # 306-X7315 installed and how to get it setup.
What do you plan on using your new hitch for and what model is your Golf?

I just had this installed by a mobile company on my 2015 VW sportwagen TDI. Sounds like no issue with the install. Looks great. Excited about not losing and clearance back there.

I’ve installed this same hitch in my 2015 Golf Sportwagen TDI S. Install was pretty easy and the fit is good. I did have to bend the body of the Golf a bit to make things line up but that was not at all difficult to do. I haul a bike rake in it and it works great and the hitch has no hint of flexing with two bikes mounted. I would definitely buy it again.
