The latest Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Pro brake controller # RED44FR is a great choice for your Lexus GX 460 Black Line Edition. It is Redarc’s newest Tow-Pro Elite setup and gives you smooth proportional braking for normal towing along with the off-road mode feature for gravel roads, trails, and rough terrain.

For your GX 460, you can use the plug-and-play wiring harness # RED49FR, which plugs directly into the factory brake controller port under the dash. That makes the installation much cleaner since you do not have to splice into the factory wiring. Right now the # RED49FR is saying that it is not a confirmed fit, I am getting that update because I was able to confirm that it will work with your GX 460 Black Line Edition. By the time you get to the page, it may be updated already.

Since all of your factory switch blanks are already occupied, the best option for mounting the control knob is the Universal Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-001. The Tow-Pro knob installs directly into that panel, allowing you to mount it cleanly in another convenient spot near the steering column or lower dash area without needing an unused factory knockout. Please see attached image.

One of the really nice things about the latest Tow-Pro Elite Pro is that the main control module mounts out of sight behind the dash, so the only visible part is the small control knob itself. It gives you a much cleaner OEM-style look compared to traditional brake controllers hanging below the dash.

Once installed, the controller calibrates automatically as you drive and provides very smooth trailer braking response.

Hi Kate, Thank you for your kind assistance!! I've ordered the recommendations that you suggested. I'm presently towing a13 ft Casita and am looking to upgrade to something bigger such as an Escape 19 or possibly an Oliver!!

@DerrickG My pleasure! I really like the Casitas too. The 13' is such a great size for easy towing and getting just about anywhere. The Escape 19 and Oliver are both awesome options when you’re ready for a little more room though. Let me know if you need anything else along the way!
