Replacement Stereo for an Existing Jensen JWM6A

Updated 05/21/2026 | Published 05/18/2026

Question:

I have a Jensen JWM6A withe Bluetooth not t working. I’ve tried all the different options, can’t get it to show on my iPhone. I’m looking at replacing it to a JWM95 since it’s has similar features. I think your jen43yr is probably the same unit. Do they both use the same wiring connected and wiring? Also, are they both the same size? Thanks, Robert K.

Thanks for your question, Robert.

The Jensen RV Stereo # JEN43YR is the newest model in place of the older JWM6A/JWM60A stereos. You also mentioned the Jensen JWM95, and that would be a great option if you still want traditional DVD/CD functionality. The # JEN43YR, on the other hand, is a better fit if you’re using a smart TV and mainly streaming services while traveling. Which based off you mentioning connecting your iPhone to your current stereo, sounds more like what you are looking for.

As for the wiring, it won’t be a true plug-and-play swap. The # JEN43YR does use a 20-pin connector like your current stereo, but since it’s not considered a direct replacement for the JWM6A, the pin locations and wire colors will most likely be different from your existing harness.

That doesn’t mean you can’t use the # JEN43YR to replace your JWM6A. You’ll just want to double-check the opening dimensions where your current stereo is at to make sure it fits properly. The # JEN43YR requires a cutout measuring 9-5/16" wide x 6-1/8" tall x 1-5/16" deep.

I’ve also included the wiring diagram below for the # JEN43YR so you can compare it to your current wiring setup.

Are you using the stereo mainly for music or also have it connected to your TV for movie nights?
