Recommended Replacement for Old Jensen JWM6A RV Stereo

Updated 07/15/2024 | Published 01/19/2021

Question:

I have a 2016 Winnebago View 24V with a JWM6A which isnt working. Which Jensen unit replaces my old one maybe JWM60A or JWM62A. Does the either one use exact same pigtail? What is difference b/t 60A and 62A?

Expert Reply:

Both the Jensen JWM6A and the current model, part # JWM62A are classified as double-DIN head units, which will both use the same sized rough openings in a vehicle dash. The old # JWM6A and the current model
# JWM62A both use the same pigtail, as you can see in the provided photo that shows the pigtail pinout for both models side by side.

The # JWM60A and the # JWM62A are the same unit, they're just manufactured in different countries. Because there isn't any discernable difference between the two, we retained the old # JWM60A part number.

I've linked to a product demonstration video for the # JWM60A Jensen RV Stereo.

I've noticed that there is no HDMI connection on the back of the 62a like there was on the older 6a. Does Jensen make a replacement radio for the 6a that has an HDMI connection?

@RickS Take a look at the Jensen # JWM45 which fits the same standard double-din dash sizing and also includes a HDMI rear jack and dual-zone output.

I understand that The Jensen JWN60A is the Recommended replacement for my Jensen JWM 6A I have read that while the pigtail is the same, there is no place for my HDMI cable to plug in and some type of adapter is needed. Is this true, and if so, do you sell this adapter. Thanks
