Does The Jensen JEN43YR Use The Same Wire Pin Connector As The ir6500bt?

Is the pin wire connecter match from a ir6500bt or will I have to rewire it?

Hey Ray, thanks for reaching out. No, the Jensen # JEN43YR does not use the same connector as the ir6500bt. The Jensen JWM65 uses a 20-pin wiring harness setup that’s specific to Jensen/ASA Electronics units. That plug carries all your speaker zones, power, and accessory connections in one bundled connector.
The IR6500BT, on the other hand, is an older style unit and typically uses a different harness layout and pinout, even though it’s also Jensen. They didn’t keep those plugs standardized across generations, so they don’t just plug-and-play between models. You will have to rewire it if you plan to switch.
