Question:

I need to replace the locking pawl on a Fulton T1801 but cannot find a kit that lists it as compatible. Will any of the kits work?

Hey Joe, thanks for reaching out!

Since replacement parts for the Fulton T1801 are hard to find, we actually recommend replacing the whole winch.

The Dutton-Lainson # DL17042 is the best replacement because it has a winch capacity of 1,900 lbs with a 20' polyester strap.

The heavy duty design makes it more reliable long term and you'll avoid the hassle of trying to track down replacement parts later.

what are you winching down; boats, equipment, or gear?

@JoeK Ok cool, It might be worth looking into the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - 2 Speed - 2,500 lbs # DL14830 For a sailboat, I’d lean toward the 2-speed models since they make the final pull onto the bunks much easier and put less strain on you.
