Question:

I am looking to replace the leaf springs on my 2022 Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser 19RBS. On the axle I found the stamp with: 666-524-7821 Item V000349354 Cust Part 011AIZ Cust PO 1127390 LCI44-DB-84-65.25.NOSP-0S-L-545-7224-18PT-CAP 4000 V0003493 Seria S0006888420 Capacity: 4000 lbs Mfg Date: 06/11/21 I measured from eye to eye on the leaf spring and it was 26 1/2 Which leaf spring set should I order? and should I replace the U-bolts and replace the wheel bearings at the same time? Thank you

Hey Jeffrey, welcome back, and thanks for providing all those specs - it really helps. We do have a replacement leaf spring for you. I recommend the following:

- 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 4,000-lb Trailer Axles - 26" Long # e22YR

You will need to replace the U-bolts since those can't be re used. For that use the CE Smith U-Bolt Kit # CE23002 (one kit per axle).

The bearings don't necessarily need to be replaced unless they are worn or damaged. If I were you, I'd check each hub and make sure everything is good and tight and there is no side-to-side play when you shake the hub. As long as there is no unnecessary movement, they should be fine and you don't need to replace them. With your camper being only a few years old, they should be good to go there. It's usually pretty obvious when bearings go bad. The hubs will be loose, and the tires will usually show uneven or abnormal wear.

Jeffrey I ordered the same leaf springs on my Forest River Wolf pup and they fit perfectly. I was well pleased and swapping them out was easy

I used these springs on my 6ft. x 12ft. long utility trailer that I haul cords of firewood in. I load that trailer down with a lot of wood and those springs hold up very well. Change the U bolts for sure and the wheel bearings if they have been on awhile also. It was an easy fix for the broken spring I had, after using the trailer for over twenty years. The springs are a very good price.
