Is the backing on the pads stainless steel also?

Hello James, thanks for reaching out. Yes! With the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper # KDBC225S, the calipers themselves and the backing on the pads are stainless steel.

Does your trailer go in or around salt water?

There are 2 types of Kodiak Pads, the ones shipped with the calipers are stainless backed, if your in salt dont even think about going with the steel pads, they only last half a season and then they pad falls off the backing plate. the stainless backed pads are 2x the cost but well worth it.

@James Hey James. I was actually wrong here with my initial answer. The # KDBC225S Stainless calipers do in fact come with the stainless backed pads part # K225CPSS. So those will work great for your saltwater boat trailer. I'll go ahead and edit the answer above. Sorry for any confusion.
