Hey Jack congrats on the new Jeep! To flat tow a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon behind your 2012 Thor Hurricane 31J motorhome, I recommend the following parts:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate item # e84ZR
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM-521453-5
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267 if you have incandescent tail lights or if your Jeep has LED lights then you will need the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit item # RM63MR.
Supplemental Braking System - Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR for a permanent install or the Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI44FR for a portable system.
Please note you will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM-751490 if you go with the permanently installed item # RVI94FR. This makes sure your braking system isn't applying when it's not supposed to.
High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
I linked quite a few installation videos we've made below on all of the parts I recommended. If you have any additional questions, go ahead and click on the box that says Add Comment and I'll be happy to answer them.

I have had at least four setups. I like the Roadmaster the best. It is easy to install but not necessarily a quick project. It took me most of the morning by myself. A helper would be great. I did it by myself and have a factory steel bumper that I rigged a couple of 5 gallon buckets with a 2x6 across to support. My Jeep is a 2023 Wrangler Rubicon XE. There was a couple of small cuts I had to make in the skid plate with a hand held grinder. I have pulled from Alaska to Key West and a lot of the us inbetween. A little over 30,000 behind my Newmar. No issues so far.

Thank you for the reply! I wanted to ask why you prefer the style of the roadmaster direct connect RM-521453-5 over this base plate for example? etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Part Number: e44FV Is this style of direct connect stronger, personal preference, experience, etc?
