Adding Brakes to 2024 Master Tow model 77T

Question:

I would like to put electric brakes on a tow dolly I have, Could you please advise the proper electric brakes for a 2024 Master Tow model 77T, vin4DFBT101XRN153248 Thank You

Hi Thomas; does the 2024 Master Tow model 77T have brake flanges on it? Assuming it does, you will also have to identify the spindles/bearings it uses. If it doesn't, you will have to add a brake flange. I would check with the manufacturer to make sure this is approved.

If it is set up for brakes it is probably a 4-bolt brake flange. If I had to guess, it also likely has a #84 spindle with # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearings. Assuming that is correct, you can use the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-K along with etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA.

You will also need to trade out your 4-way for a 7-way with # e99010 or if you want a junction box # e99011 and some additional wire # 10-1-1 to run to the brake assemblies. don't forget to add a Breakaway Kit # 3802311 as well.
