Will the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Work With My 2024 Ford F-350 and Arctic Fox Edge 27 SX

Updated 04/22/2026 | Published 04/15/2026

Question:

I need a hitch for my new travel trailer. It is an Arctic Fox Edge 27 SX. I am pulling it with a 2024 Ram 3500 Cummins. Will this hitch work: Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control for 2-1/2 Hitch - 15K GTW, 1.5K TW Part Number: BLU54TR Is there anything else I need to make this work? Ball? Sway Pro Wrench? Russ

Hey Russ, welcome back!

I took a look at your 2025 Arctic Fox, and the Blue Ox SwayPro # BLU54TR is going to be a great match for your setup.

Typically, tongue weight falls around 10–15% of the trailer’s GVWR. With your trailer listed at 13,500 lbs, that puts you right in the range this system is designed for. The SwayPro works with tongue weights between 1,100 - 1,500 lbs, so you’ll be right where you want to be for proper support and control.

Another nice thing is it comes with a 2-5/16" ball and a shank for a 2-1/2" hitch so it's an all in one package so to say.

*EDIT*

If your trailer has a c-channel frame trailer tongue then you will also need to get part # BXW4021

Where are you planning to take the camper this year?

This hitch system is well constructed and will be a great match for the trailer you are towing. Comes with the wrench and ball ... you should not need anything other than some wrenches to snug the chain hangers on your trailer A-frame

I pull the same trailer with a GMC Sierra 3500 HD. The Blue Ox SwayPro works great, even in crosswinds. However, the tongue on these trailers is not boxed, it is an open C channel. Therefore you need the side-mounted (i.e., bolt to tongue) latches. The top mounted latches will not work!

@BobS Thanks for sharing that about the frame! I'll get the c-channel brackets # BXW4021 added to my answer.
