Hey James, good question. That older Dometic Duo-Therm model can be a little tough to cross-reference by number alone, so the safest way to get the right shroud is by matching dimensions and mounting style.

A very common replacement that works for a lot of those units is the # DMC98FR. It measures about 33-3/4" long, 28-3/4" wide, and 10-1/4" tall. I’d recommend measuring your current shroud and checking the mounting hole pattern to make sure it lines up. On these older units, the overall shape and screw locations matter just as much as the model number.

If your current shroud is cracked or missing pieces, even getting close measurements off the base pan can help. As long as the footprint and height are similar and the mounting points match up, you should be able to swap it without having to drill new holes or modify anything.

If the shroud I mentioned doesn't match up with what you need just let me know your dimensions and I'm happy to look into it and see if we have anything.

My camper is a 2011 and the replacement was a direct replacement. The fit was perfect .

Hi Jesse, I finally got dimensions for the AC shroud on the trailer. It’s a Dometic DuoTherm. However, the dimensions are 33-1/2” long, 29-1/2” wide, and 10-1/2 high. There are only three attachment points on the side, not 5, though the hole positions look similar. Also, unlike the model DMC98FR, the existing shroud is open behind the condenser coils at the back. Does eTrailer have a shroud that will work?

@JamesB Ok gotcha. I'm sorry to say we don't have a shroud that matches up with what you described. If I were you, I'd try reaching out directly to Dometic to see if they have a shroud for you. Is the AC unit original to the camper?

@JesseM I am not the original owner of the camper, it was donated to our Humane Society and I am trying to fix it up for sale. Looking at the shroud, though, it appears to be original. Unfortunately eTrailer’s communication portal doesn’t provide a way to upload pictures of the shroud I am trying to replace.

@JamesB Ok gotcha. Yea some of those older Dometic units can be hard to find shrouds for. There is no way to add pictures to the comments on here (yet), but you can always email pictures to me. I don't think we will have a shroud for you but I'm always happy to take a look.
