What's the Difference Between the Furrion Chill Cube FR99TD and Furrion Chill Cube FR69TD

Updated 04/07/2026 | Published 04/01/2026

Question:

What is the difference in the FR69TD and the FR99TD? I have a 2000 Fleetwood Vision 36B in very good original condition and would like to replace the rear Coleman 13,500 with the Chill Cube.

Great question, Michael.

The main units are the same; they just come with different accessories. The Furrion Chill Cube # FR69TD includes a wall thermostat and remote, while the Furrion Chill Cube # FR99TD comes with just the remote.

The remote-only option is great if you don’t have a wall thermostat or don’t want to run wires behind the wall to control it. It’s also helpful if your current thermostat isn’t in a good location for an accurate temperature reading. The remote has a “Follow Me” mode, so it will read the temperature from wherever it’s placed.

If you have a dual AC setup, you’ll want to keep the remote in the area where the Furrion unit will be doing the cooling.

When's your first trip of the season planned for?

What end of the RV does the air return vent face and what end of the RV does the cold air vents face?

@MichaelG The part of the vent that the cold air comes out would be pointing to the rear of the RV. The air return vent would be facing the front of the RV.
